Matthew Hughes

Matthew by chance, started freelance in web, design and marketing from the age of 14 and has been engrained in the digital industry for over 16 years. He co-founded his first agency during his second year of university and helped grow the agency to £1.4m in 7 years, he then went on to run a tech publication which received 250,000 readers within its first year, working with leading tech PR agencies and interviewing companies like Cudo, Canva, Intel & more.

During COVID, he decided to try something new and entered the Proptech industry, co-launching a Proptech publication and agency, now Known as Darwin. Darwin is now Matt’s full-time passion which primarily works with Proptech & SaaS organisations across the UK & Europe to provide a full suite of digital marketing services.

During his career he was also a Trustee for Round Table Childrens Wish, Visiting Lecturer at AUB, and a CIM Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship Tutor at a Leading London College.

He has achieved various accolades such as winning the Scale-up Business of the Year award and being a finalist in the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
